Personal information we collect

Midsummer AB primarily collects the information directly from you as a customer. Examples of personal information we collect are your name, contact information for you such as mobile phone number, e-mail address or physical address. Midsummer may update your information from other public records, such as SPAR, if necessary to maintain good record keeping.

Midsummer AB registers personal data in connection with:

1. Registration for a service offered via the various platforms that Midsummer offers.

4. If you sign up for the Midsummer newsletter.

Collection with consent

By clicking on the “I agree” button, you agree that the personal information, such as your name, telephone number and e-mail address, that you fill in at various places on this website may be used for marketing purposes for the service displayed in connection with there you are asked to fill in your personal information. We also collect your IP address, geographical position and interests in order to better adapt our marketing to you.

When you click on the “I agree” button, you also agree that we from Midsummer may place a so-called third-party cookies on your computer. This cookie will track you and your browsing behavior in order to offer you marketing based on your behavior 

How we use collected information

Midsummer processes personal data mainly for the purposes stated below and for any additional purposes stated at the time of collection:

1. To fulfill orders for services through one of the platforms offered by Midsummer;
2. Enable good customer service, such as handling your inquiries, correcting incorrect information or sending information that you have requested e.g. newsletter;
3. Information about ordering a service is stored and analyzed, and forms the basis for offers and discounts as well as marketing of both a general and targeted nature;
4. To be able to administer customer profiles, conduct analyzes and market research;
5. For system administration and to produce statistical data on our users’ behavior and patterns, but this does not identify an individual but takes place at an aggregate level;

11. To help us develop our website and app to be more useful and to improve your user experience of the platforms offered through Midsummer by being able to customize the display of the services to the device used;

Information that can be disclosed

However, high security and confidentiality are always observed in all handling of personal data.

Midsummer AB only cooperates with partners who process personal data within the EU / EEA or with companies that maintain the same level of protection as within the EU / EEA by e.g. have joined the so-called Privacy Shield agreement between the EU and the USA.

About cookies

When you use our website and app, personal data may be collected via e.g. cookies. However, this is only done via a separate consent. This stores the information about your use and which pages are visited. This can be technical information about your device and internet connection such as operating system, browser version, IP address, cookies and unique identifiers. When visiting our websites where our services are provided, various techniques can be used to recognize you in order to learn more about our users. This can be done directly or through the use of third party technology.

Legal basis, storage and thinning of personal data

By submitting information to Midsummer, you give your permission for Midsummer to register and store information about which service you have purchased and process the specified personal data for specified purposes. As a legal basis for processing, Midsummer will refer to the fulfillment of an agreement, legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent. If Midsummer uses legitimate interest as a basis, it will only be done for the purposes stated above. The processing takes place in accordance with current legislation and means that personal data is not retained for a longer period than is necessary with regard to the purposes of the processing. Midsummer will store your personal information as long as you are a customer with us. For marketing purposes, information older than 3 years is not used. In practical terms, this means that data is thinned out when it is no longer relevant or necessary for analysis or direct marketing for the purposes for which it has been collected. Some information can be retained longer when required due to other legal requirements, such as the Accounting Act. However, high security and confidentiality are always observed in all handling of personal data.

Your rights and choices

You have rights regarding your personal data and you have the opportunity to influence your information and what is saved. Midsummer will, on its own or the customer’s initiative, correct information that is found to be incorrect. You can also request at any time that your data be deleted or that its use be restricted by contacting us (for contact routes, see the heading How to contact us). If you believe that your rights are not respected by us, you are welcome to contact Midsummer or you can contact the Data Inspectorate (datainspektionen@datainspektionen.se).

You can at any time refrain from receiving marketing communications from us by clicking on “unsubscribe” in the e-mail and SMS communications that we send you. You are always welcome to contact our customer service for help in saying no to our communication.

You can, once a year free of charge, obtain information about which personal data is registered, by requesting in writing a so-called register extract from Midsummer AB.
