Job description:

We are looking for a Site Manager that has experience of overseeing and managing a manufacturing facility in Italy. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing site in Bari, from initial product planning to production through to process review and quality control, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

The Site Manager also provides guidance and quality oversight to ensure establishment and execution of sustaining programs are aligned with Italian regulatory requirements and industry standards. He or she will lead the overall operation of all manufacturing and operational functions, including safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, organizing, directing, and running day-to-day operations in production.
• Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Ensure the timely and high-quality execution of manufacturing tasks.
• Responsible for the required technical documentation
• Responsible for the safety of workers and employees
• Ensure all Environmental and Waste Management Policies are adhered to.
• Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.

Quality management responsibilities:

• Interface with Italian external bodies regarding the HSE to ensure legal/policy compliance and participate in any subsequent communication.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Italian industry codes of practice, legislation and occupational health and safety standards
• Ensure that workflows, processes, and products comply with Italian safety regulations.
• Follow Midsummer´s Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) regarding the production processes.
• Monitoring, analysing and reporting quality performance indicators
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.

Requirements and skills:

• Degree in industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• operations leadership experience of managing and overseeing a manufacturing environment, ideally in a small to medium-sized manufacturing site.
• In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant Italian legal standards and preferably also previous experience as a quality manager or quality engineer
• Experience in dealing with external partners such as suppliers or inspection bodies.
• Experience with Italian safety standards
• Knowledge on procurement of production materials
• Minimum C1-level in English
